We empower our employees to bring the right solutions forward to strengthen the relationship between providers and patients and ensure that our staff are well served.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe duties include, but are not limited to:Prepare patients for radiologic procedures.Escort patient to x-ray roomVerifying patients identity and reviewing physicians orders prior to xrayUsing x-ray equipment to take radiographic images of patients bonesPosition patient accordingly, which may require lifting and moving patients with limited mobilityLimiting patients exposure to radiation by placing lead shields on patients when neededEnsuring that xrays taken are of sound quality to prevent repeat proceduresPromptly notifying management of damaged or malfunctioning x-ray equipmentMaintaining an accurate record of completed x-ray proceduresEnsuring all HIPAA policies are followed to maintain patient privacyPerforms miscellaneous job-related duties as assignedQualifications or Education, Training and ExperienceBachelor's or associates degree in radiologic technology, radiology, or a related fieldCertification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)Appropriate state licensureProven experience working as an X-Ray technicianAbility to lift or move patientsAbility to stand for extended periodsKnowledge and Skills/Expected CompetenciesA patient and compassionate dispositionKnowledge of radiologic standards, requirements, and regulationsAccuracy-Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughlyComputer Skills- Proficient ability to use a computer and electronic medical recordsFlexibility- Ability to adapt easily to changing conditions and work responsibilitiesPhysical/Mental Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
